What is Hackers Day?

Hackers Day is an Information Security community for promoting, demonstrating & spreading awareness regarding the field of Information Security.
The main motive to establish this community is to establish a platform for talented security researchers to showcase their skills & to spread awareness about the real insights of Hacking and Security.
This community seeks to bring together the brightest mind within the information security industry and the digital underground. Hackers Day will showcase cutting edge tools, techniques and methodologies that are at the forefront of the global threat landscape.
As an open to all community, Hackers Day community also provides Regional Chapters to conduct regular semi-conferences/meets which will spread and aware people about latest security threats, technologies and to share knowledge.

What is Hackers Day Conference?

Hackers Day Conference which was previously known as DEFCON Lucknow is India's one of most popular and biggest International Information Security Conventions based in Lucknow, India helds every year in January/February.
Hackers Day is a unique event, where the best brains in information security and leaders in hacking world and the cyber society along with government officials on cyber security meet to join their efforts offensively or defensively to cooperate in addressing the most assessed topics in the field of Information Security.
Hackers Day International Information Security Conference is a stepping stone for young professionals, information security enthusiasts, hackers, coders, programmers, security and networking professionals, web developers, government officials, law enforcement agencies, business and everyone who love and care about security.

On January 13 & 14, 2017 at Amity University, Lucknow, India.

How to register for the conference & workshops?

Simply visit Registration Page and follow MeraEvents instructions then select a payment method to complete the registration process.

How to reach to the venue from Airport or Railway Station?

There are so many transportation facilities available at Airport & Railway Station to reach Amity University, Malhaur Campus. You can take Taxi, Auto or Cab to reach at the venue.

Is OLA/Uber available in Lucknow?

Yes, OLA and Uber both are available in Lucknow.

How to reserve my room to stay and what are the rates?

Simply visit This Page and fill the form and submit it. We will reserve your room at Amity Hostel in advance after receiving your submitted form. We request to submit the form to registered participants only.
A nominal amount (around INR 100-150) will be taken by Amity per person per day at the time of conference.

Is there any discount available for conference or workshop?

No, there is no discount available for conference or workshop registrations because Hackers Day 2017 is a 2-Day conference. The fee is very nominal and to maintain the quality of conference and to provide best hospitality to each and every participant we cannot offer any kind of discounts.

Should i bring the print out of my registered pass?

Yes, please bring your registered pass at venue. You can also show the e-ticket at venue, therefore printed pass is not mandatory.

Do I need to carry laptop?

To participate in Capture The Flag (CTF) carrying your own laptop is mandatory, else you may carry for your personal use.

What meals/receptions are included in my registration?

Morning Breakfast, Lunch, Tea/Coffee and Snacks will be provided during the conference and workshop.

I am unable to register from the website, What to do?

In this case try using other payment methods such as PayTm to complete the registration process. If you are still not able to register online then contact our Team members.

Is there any on spot registration available?

Registrations are running fast and seats are getting filled rapidly, but we have reserved 50 seats for on spot registrations. Please note that on spot registration charges will be higher than current charges.

Will I receive a certificate of participation/workshop training?

Yes, you will receive dual certifications of Participation (Hackers Day & Amity Certificates). Apart from it, you will get Stationary Kit, Unique ID Card & Goodies.

I am an overseas participant and I need an official letter of Invitation to apply for the vise. What is the procedure?

Please send an email along with your complete details at root[at]hackersday[dot]org. We would love to send you invitation letter.

What are the places in Lucknow to visit?

Lucknow is known as "City of Nawabs". People of Lucknow are well known for their culture & respectful behaviour. Lucknow is also a large city in northern India and is Capital of Uttar Pradesh. Toward its center is Rumi Darwaza, a Mughal gateway. Nearby, the 18th-century Bara Imambara shrine has a huge arched hall. Upstairs, Bhool Bhulaiya is a maze of narrow tunnels with city views from its upper balconies. Close by, the grand Victorian Husainabad Clock Tower was built as a victory column in 1881. There are so many historical places which you would love to see.

What is Hackers Day Chapter?

As an open source community, Hackers Day community also provides Regional Chapters to conduct regular semi-conferences/meets which will spread and aware people about latest security threats, technologies and to share knowledge. We are currently working on it and will start accepting chapter requests soon
